The
Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park is an effort of private
and public entities combining their resources to create a site so ideally
located for distribution, industry and business that it would have a major
impact on commerce in Mid-America.
The Marshall County Industrial Development Authority fostered the creation of a compact which, at one time, spanned across state borders. The development now encompasses 2,600 acres wholly in Mississippi and Marshall County.
The convergence of major four-lane highways, including the proposed Interstate 69 which will travel from Canada to Mexico, form the borders of the Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park. Through the efforts of local, state and federal development funding, the Park is equipped with an infrastructure of high-capacity gas, water, sewer and electricity.
Already
in operation in the Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park is a 700,000 square
foot distribution center that
opened in January 2006. Ground has been broken for another major
venture located in the Park and a development comany has bought
a large tract for future projects.
The Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park is the product of years of planning and hard work by local, state and federal officials who shared the vision of bringing together the resources required to create a distribution, industry and business supersite. Chickasaw Trail is within minutes of one of the most dynamic distribution centers in the country but is a distance away which allows for lower startup costs and room for future development.
Marshall County is positioned for progress. Chickasaw Trail is open for business.
