Marshall County residents enjoy a four-season climate with warm summers, mild winters, and extended spring and autumn seasons.

Daytime high temperatures in the coldest months average around 50°F, with nightly lows averaging a few degrees below freezing.  Summer daytime highs average about 90°F in the warmest months. 

Precipitation is rather evenly distributed throughout the year, with monthly averages ranging from about 3½  to 6 inches. Total annual precipitation is about 55 inches. Precipitation typically occurs on about 110 days per year. Snow and ice occurs rarely during a typical winter; when it does, the amount ranges from a trace to 1 inch.
