John Jewell, who received the prestigious Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award, was thrown a huge party recently by his children at the family’s airport hangar.
The life story of John Jewell was woven in words by his children and friends and his wife Linda, following a feting of the community that supported him and his family’s life journey in the aviation industry.
The FAA’s Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award honors those who have served 50 years in aviation mechanics. Jewell, 73, has left his mark on the industry and on Holly Springs.
